The Faculty of Education produces teachers with high professional competence who can exercise autonomy and judgment at work: in-depth subject knowledge, up-to-date teaching skills, reflective practice and the ability to teach learners with different needs. It has three departments — Curriculum and Media Studies, Foundations of Education and Psychology.
The faculty collaborates with sister universities in Uganda and abroad. Its Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management, offered jointly, is part of the five-year Foundations for Learning (F4L) project in West Nile and trains head teachers and deputy head teachers to manage diversity. Students on school practice teach in Arua City and the districts of Arua, Koboko, Nebbi and Zombo, and in primary schools across West Nile and Acholi.

A committed, dedicated, competent and exemplary teacher for the 21st century.
